SABSIGE SOPPU GOJJU(DILL LEAVES CURRY)



SABSIGE SOPPU OR DILL LEAVES I have already used for bassaru. Today I am using it to prepare gojju or curry. This recipe is really good for breastfeeding mothers. It promotes the milk flow in breastfeeding mothers. This recipe really goes well with hot rice. I used to have this gojju weekly thrice when i was breastfeeding. In future i will be sharing more recipes for breastfeeding mothers.



Ingredients:
1 bunch of dill leaves
6-7 sambar onions or small onions
8 garlic cloves
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp ginger(optional)
2-3 red chillies(as per your spice)
gooseberry size tamarind
1/2 tomato
3 tbsp dry or shredded coconut
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
hing
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp ghee

Method:

1. In a pan add oil, cumin seeds, black pepper, red chillies and saute for few seconds. Add garlic and fry until it turns light brown.
2. Now add sambar onions(chopped) and fry until onions turns light brown. Add ginger and tomatoes and fry until tomatoes are cooked. 
3. Now add coconut and saute for few seconds. After few seconds add dill leaves and fry them until dill leaves are almost cooked(you can sprinkle some water ). 
4. Once dill leaves are almost cooked add tamarind and fry for another 2 to 3 mins.
5. Grind everything by adding required salt and water.(do not add more water the consistency should be little thick).
6. In a pan add 2 tsp ghee, mustard seeds,curry leaves, once the mustard seeds splutters add 1 dry red chilli and hing. Now add the grinded mixture into this pan and boil it in medium flame for 4 to 5 mins.
Serve hot with rice!!!!
